Chilling Cable Ski lives up to its name. Tucked down Soi Amphawan in Nong Ri, just outside Chonburi town and near Wat Chong Mafueang, it's a small, quiet pond ringed by hills, about 80 km (around 70 minutes) from Suvarnabhumi. It feels a world away from the busy parks around Pattaya.

The setup is a straight 2-tower System 2.0 cable. The operator sets the speed for each rider (reviews mention levels 1 to 10) and trainers coach up close, which makes it a good fit for beginners, families and groups who want the pond to themselves. Features are limited to a kicker, so riders hunting rails and boxes will run out of things to hit. Showers are available, and reviews also mention flyboard and jet ski options.

Status needs confirming. The latest prices we found come from older reviews (around 1,000-1,200 THB per hour for a private session shared by about four riders, unverified), and food, opening hours and the phone number are all uncertain. Message the Facebook page before you drive out.

Based on official information and our research, Chilling is a relaxed choice if you want calm water, no queue and an easy pairing with Bang Saen or Khao Kheow Open Zoo. For a confirmed full-size cable in the east, Thai Wake Park Pattaya is the alternative.

History & story

Chilling Cable Ski is a small 2-tower cable on a compact pond in Nong Ri, on the hilly outskirts of Chonburi city, about 15 minutes from town. True to its name, it feels quiet and private, a good fit for friend groups and families who want the line to themselves. The operator sets the speed by hand and starts first-timers slow, and older reviews also mention flyboarding. We found no opening year, and the newest first-hand review dates from 2023. It still appears in 2026 directories as a calmer alternative to the Pattaya park, but status is unconfirmed, so message the park on Facebook before you travel.

In depth

Background

Chilling Cable Ski is a small 2-tower cable on a compact pond in Nong Ri, on the hilly outskirts of Chonburi city, about 15 minutes from town and roughly 70 minutes from Suvarnabhumi airport. It is not on the Pattaya lake; that is Thai Wake Park Pattaya, about 40 km south. A 2021 Wongnai feature described it as a quiet, private-feeling spot ringed by hills, good for groups of friends and family outings.

Status caveat: we found no sourced opening year, and no first-hand review newer than 2023. The park is still listed in 2026 directories, but contact it on Facebook to confirm it is operating, and to check hours and prices, before you travel.

The cable and activities

The cable is a straight 2-tower System 2.0 line with a kicker (source: Waketricks). The operator sets the speed by hand; a 2023 rider review mentions a scale of 1 to 10, starting low for first-timers (source: Lemon8). The cable can be booked as a private session, so your group has the line to itself. Beyond wakeboarding, older reviews and articles mention flyboarding, and a 2023 review also lists jet skis and boat riding (sources: Wongnai, Lemon8). Whether these are still offered in 2026 is unconfirmed.

Prices and what to know before you go

There is no official price list online, and the figures we found disagree. A 2019 Wongnai review reported 1,000 THB for a private hour. A June 2023 review put it at about 1,200 THB per hour, shareable by up to four riders. 2026 directories estimate around 500 THB per hour or 600 to 800 THB per session with gear. Treat all of these as indicative and confirm with the park. Listed hours vary between 09:00 to 18:00 and 09:00 to 19:00.

Booking is by Facebook Messenger or phone; numbers differ between listings, so use the Facebook page. A shower is mentioned for rinsing off, and on-site food is unconfirmed, so bring water and snacks. Reviewers suggest weekday or weekend mornings before noon, when it is quietest. See our beginner guide for first-session basics.

What reviewers often say

Public reviews are few. Google shows about 4.3 from roughly 29 reviews (per Wakeparks Thailand), and Wongnai has only two reviews, both from 2019, so themes rest on a small sample. What recurs: patient, attentive instructors who suit nervous riders and weak swimmers; flexible booking times; a relaxed, uncrowded atmosphere; and value when a small group shares a private hour. A 2023 reviewer suggests pairing a session with a day in Chonburi or Pattaya. We found no recurring complaints, but also little recent feedback.

Recent status (2025-2026)

We found no 2025-2026 news, events or competitions. Wakeparks Thailand lists Chilling as an active option in its 2026 directory and as a quieter alternative when the Pattaya park is busy, but its information appears to rely on directory data rather than a recent visit. Until the park posts current prices, plan this as a call-ahead trip. Prices are as of the dates noted above.
