Night Wakeboarding Bangkok: Parks Open Late in 2026

Night Wakeboarding Bangkok: Parks Open Late in 2026

You can go night wakeboarding in Bangkok at Thai Wake Park Lumlukka, ESC Thai Wake Park and Taco Lake, which all run floodlit cables until 22:00. Lumlukka and ESC sell a 695 THB Late Night Sesh from 20:00 to 22:00, and Taco Lake adds 100 THB to keep riding from 18:00 to 22:00. WakeGarden is open until 21:00, and Varapa takes bookings until midnight daily, from 700 THB an hour per pond on weekday evenings.

Prices and hours below are as of October 2026, based on official information and our research. Evening hours change with the season and events, so confirm with the park before you set off.

Why ride at night?

The main reason is heat. Bangkok afternoons are hot and humid for most of the year, and a wake park offers little shade: you stand on a dock waiting for your turn, then ride on water that reflects the sun. After sunset (around 18:00-18:30 in Bangkok, varying slightly through the year) the air is cooler, you don't need to keep reapplying sunscreen and you can ride longer without tiring.

Other reasons:

  • After work: office hours end around 17:00-18:00, and the late parks give you a realistic two-hour window afterwards.
  • Atmosphere: floodlit water, music and dinner by the lake make it a social evening rather than a sports chore.
  • Value: Lumlukka and ESC's late session and Taco Lake's night top-up are among the cheaper ways to ride.

The parks in detail

Thai Wake Park Lumlukka

Lumlukka runs its full-size 5-tower cable from 09:00 to 22:00 every day under floodlights. The Late Night Sesh (20:00-22:00) costs 695 THB, and the last hour alone costs 295 THB. Note that the 2-tower training cables close at 18:00, so complete beginners should come in daylight for a lesson first. The restaurant takes last orders at 20:30, so eat before your late session. The on-site RIDEnLazy hotel means you can stay over rather than drive home tired.

ESC Thai Wake Park

ESC opens at 11:00 on weekdays and 09:00 at weekends and public holidays, and closes at 22:00. Night prices match Lumlukka: 695 THB for 20:00-22:00 or 295 THB for the last hour. The kitchen takes last orders at 21:15, and ESC Park Hotel is next door. It is about 25 minutes from Don Mueang airport, the easiest late park to reach from north Bangkok.

Taco Lake

Taco Lake in Bang Phli, near Suvarnabhumi, is open until 22:00. A day ticket costs 400 THB until 18:00; add 100 THB to continue until 22:00, or pay 600 THB for the whole day including night. Vest, helmet and a beginner board are included, and our research confirms showers and changing rooms, which is a big plus after an evening ride. Opening times differ between the website and its July 2026 Facebook update, so confirm before you go.

WakeGarden Wake Park

WakeGarden, opposite Mega Bangna, lists daily hours of 09:00-21:00 on its official site, though an older directory page shows 18:00. It is a 2-tower cable booked by the hour, with coaching included. Whether the last slots are fully after dark and lit is not verified, so ask when you book.

Varapa Wakepark

Varapa in Khlong Luang has two 2-tower lines, a cocktail bar and evening sessions. Its official price table lists slots from 09:00 to 24:00 daily. Evening slots (18:00-24:00) cost 700 THB an hour on weekdays and 800 THB at weekends, charged per pond with no rider limit, so a group can split the fee. Book by slot online; the deposit is non-refundable.

An after-work plan

Here is a simple evening at Lumlukka or ESC:

Time What to do
17:30 Leave the office. Traffic out of central Bangkok is heavy, so allow extra time.
19:00 Arrive, check in, change and eat (Lumlukka's restaurant takes last orders at 20:30).
19:45 Warm up and watch the cable to see what features are set up.
20:00-22:00 Ride the Late Night Sesh (695 THB).
22:00 Shower if available, change and drive home, or stay at the on-site hotel.

If you live in the east or south of the city, swap in Taco Lake: arrive around 18:30, pay 400 + 100 THB (or 600 THB for all day if you came earlier) and ride until 22:00. Short on time? Lumlukka and ESC's 295 THB last hour is the cheapest quick session.

Pack light layers and a towel; see our what to wear wakeboarding checklist. Comparing the three late parks in more depth? Read ESC vs Lumlukka vs Taco Lake.

Safety when riding at night

  • Know the cable first. Riding features under lights is harder because shadows hide depth and distance. If you are new to a park, ride it in daylight first.
  • Start easy. Do a few laps without features to adjust your eyes to the lighting.
  • Wear bright colors and a helmet. They make you easier to spot when you fall. Helmets cost 60 THB a day at Lumlukka and ESC if not included.
  • Signal after a fall. Raise an arm so the operator and other riders know you are fine, then clear the cable path quickly.
  • Mind the fatigue. An evening after a full workday tires you faster than you think. Stop before you are exhausted.
  • Watch for insects. Lights attract bugs near the water; insect repellent helps in the rainy season.
  • Drive home rested. Riding until 22:00 then driving is tiring. Consider the on-site hotels at Lumlukka or ESC.
  • Storms: in the rainy season (roughly May to October), parks stop the cable when lightning is near. Follow staff instructions.

More rules for riding with others are in our safety and etiquette guide.
